V-Ring Seals Basics on Shaft Sealings
V-ring seals. These are special seals of the axial shaft and are completely rubber. They extend across the shaft and block in the axial direction, against a counterface which may be a housing wall or bearing washer. The design effectively prohibits ingress of dirt, dust, splash water, etc, and traps grease. They are simple, flexible, easy to install, and effective in different applications.
